When we finally got back to the lake this is what we saw. By this stage the Aurora was forming small curtains and arcs, and was bright enough that I only needed a 10 second exposure to capture it. The silhouette in the foreground is our ice shack.  Finally seeing this meant a lot to me and is something I’ll never forget.
